Connect your Hospitable account to Kismet

Create one Hospitable Personal Access Token and hand it to our team. Follow the steps below and you are done in about five minutes — no technical knowledge required.

~5 minutesRead onlyOwner or full-access admin

Before you begin

Two quick things to check

You need a paid Hospitable plan and the right account access before you start. If either of these is missing, Hospitable will not let you create a token.

Paid plan required

The public API is available on Host, Professional, and Mogul. Essentials hosts cannot create a token and will need to upgrade first.

Right account access

Only the account owner or a full-access admin user can generate a Personal Access Token.

Plan check: if you are on Essentials, upgrade to Host, Professional, or Mogul before continuing.

1

Sign in to Hospitable

Go to my.hospitable.com and sign in to your account.

2

Open API access

In the sidebar, click Apps. You can also get there by opening Settings → Integrations. Then choose API access, open the Access tokens tab, and click + Add new.

Only account owners and full-access admin users can see the option to generate a token.

3

Name the token

Give the token a name you will recognise later. We suggest naming it Kismet so it is obvious what it is for.

4

Choose Read only

Hospitable offers two permissions. Choose Read and do not choose Write.

Write

Read is all we need. With Read only, the token cannot change your pricing, availability, or bookings.

5

Check the expiry and send it to Kismet

Hospitable Personal Access Tokens expire one year after they are created. The expiry date is shown on the token itself. Keep that date in mind so a future expiry is not a surprise.

You can revoke the token at any time from the same Access tokens screen.

Recommended

Use our encrypted key drop

Open the key drop, choose Hospitable from the platform dropdown, and paste the token into the Hospitable — Personal Access Token (Read scope) field. Your submission is encrypted.

Security notes

Keep control of your token

This is a Read-only token: it can view your properties, reservations, and calendar, but it cannot change your pricing, availability, or bookings.

You can revoke the token at any time from the same Access tokens screen in Hospitable.

Personal Access Tokens expire one year after creation. The expiry date is shown on the token itself, so you know when to replace it.
